Adventure with a purpose — helping boys in South Beloit grow in faith, character, and leadership.
Part of Trail Life USA
Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered, boy-focused outdoor adventure and character program with troops in all 50 states. Troop IL-2931 is our local chapter, chartered through Faith Fellowship and run by dedicated, background-checked volunteers.
We meet regularly for skill-building, games, and time in God’s Word, and we get outdoors often for hikes, campouts, and service projects. Boys don’t need any prior experience — just a willingness to show up and try.

The Program
A Clear Path of Growth, K–12
Boys join a division based on their grade and grow through age-appropriate adventure.
Woodlands Trail
Younger boys explore the outdoors, build skills, and grow in character through hands-on adventure in patrols like the Fox, Hawk, and Mountain Lion.
Navigators
Middle-school boys take on greater responsibility, deeper outdoor challenges, and leadership opportunities that build confidence and teamwork.
Adventurers
High-school young men pursue high-adventure activities, servant leadership, and real-world skills that prepare them for life.
Youth Safety First
- Two-deep leadership — never fewer than two approved adults present.
- No one-on-one contact between an adult and a child.
- Background checks & training for every adult leader.
Parents Are Welcome — and Needed
Trail Life is a partnership between our troop and your family. Parents are encouraged to be involved, and there are volunteer roles for every interest and availability. You know your son best, and we’re here to reinforce the values you’re already teaching at home.
